A friend shared this with me today and I thought it may be useful for those who are struggling, especially at this time of year.
One moment at a time I am reminded that I am an alcoholic. Not that I want
to be, just that I AM. So one moment at a time I ACT AS IF I am a sober
alcoholic.
Sober Alcoholics KNOW what will happen to them if they CHOOSE to drink and
therefore CHOOSE NOT TO DRINK.
Sober Alcoholics Rely on their very own personal HIGHER POWER.
Sober Alcoholics keep an eye on their minds state.
Sober Alcoholics are as honest to themselves and others as they can be.
Sober Alcoholics freeely give their warmth and love.
Sober Alcoholics avoid the H.A.L.T.S.
Sober Alcoholics have great lives.
Please note, these are just little things I say To me when times are
tough.
Or when someone else is having a hard time I try to say them without
pressure. I hope they help
